So, I decided to give her a call and figure out what was going on. “That’s right, Mr. Bruce. Your daughter has had five tardy notices this week alone. Is there something happening at home that I should be aware of?” Mrs. Flynn asked. “Everything’s fine at home,” I replied. “She leaves early enough to catch the bus, so I’m sure she should be arriving with the other kids. Have you noticed anything unusual with her lately?” “Well,” Mrs. Flynn paused, “I was late to class once and saw her getting off the bus later than the others. It seemed strange.
